When we did running I got 4th for 1000metres and 11th for 1500metres. I think that I did good in the 1000metres but I know I could have done better in 1500metres.

On Friday we had athletics. I was in group A year 7 girls, Kara and I were in the same group. I think that I did really well, I got into the finals for both 100m and 200m. In the finals for 200m I got 4th I think, then in 100nm I got something like 5th or 6th. In Discus, I got a 3 and my throw was either 14.90, or 15.90. I forgot which one it was. I got a 2 in shot put, a 3 in high jump, a 3 in long jump, a 3 in zorb throw and a 2 in cricket ball throw. In the year 7 girls relay for Mangapiko, it was Kara, Me, Teagan, and Hiria, we won that as well. Even though I don’t like athletics I hope that I get into the Inter Intermediate Athletics.

This tech art cycle the year sevens are doing art. We began our cycle with Sgraffito art. Most people have finished painting them and are up to scratching. As well as Sgraffito art, we also are doing masks. I have done paper mache and up to doing another layer, then doing it in white paper.

ON the second of September the selected teams for Belmont traveled up to Belmont for a sports exchange. At the same time the selected teams from Belmont traveled to Te Awamutu. On Thursday afternoon, it was the sports exchange, all students from both schools competing were to go to our school AlC. After that we went to our sports and started playing. I played in the year 7 girls netball. We only  just won our game 25-27 to us. The year 8 girls also won their game not so close, to forgot the score, but it was something like 43-7 to T.A. All together Belmont won the exchange because they mostly won all their games in Belmont, but lost most in T.A. The final score altogether was 8.5- 10.5 to Belmont. I cant wait till next year.

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring. It is also my 12th birthday. I had a birthday party in the weekend, with my best friend Lizzy over, as well as my other friends, Megan and Erin. I got loads of stuff, like a jewelery box, yummi smelling soap, a teddy bear monkey, and dog, a little hand bag from Jay Jays, and loads of other stuff! On Tuesday I am also going to get more presents from my parents, and some from my sister. I cant wait till tomorrow to see what I get!!!!!

About a week ago my cousin Alex has been in Te Awamutu staying with us. It has been so fun, she took my brother and I to the movies to watch Ice Age 3. It was so funny. And she plays the Clarinet, the same instrument that I play and we practiced together, even though she is way better than me, it was still fun. If we were in the same room we would start texting each other so no-one would no what we were talking (texting about!!!) about.

She only left last night and I miss her sooooooooo much, I wish that she could of stayed forever!!!

This holidays my cousin has been up, it has been great but their is a down side to it as well. On the first Sunday of the Holidays I had a netball tournament and we played 5 games, afterwards my foot got really sore and I couldn’t walk on it, so I was hobbling around on it for about a week and one day, then my Mum rang the doctors to get a doctors appointment. My doctor said I might of fractured it or sprained it, so I had to get a x-ray but the Te Awamutu x-ray was broken so I had to go to Cambridge and get one. When my doctor looked at the x-ray she said it was only a sprain and I would need to be on crotches for a week or two and get a blood test to see if I might have a infection in my joints on my foot. I got my blood test the next day and I thought that it was a huge needle, mum said that my mouth dropped to a O. It really really really hurt but not as much as my foot hurts, so I am now in crotches and I am going back to my doctor on the first day of term 3, after school of course. If it is better by then I will only have one day at school with crotches but I still won’t be allowed to run around on it for another week or so.

Wow, we just had our first show for TAI production, Little Stars. We performed in front of most of the schools around Te Awamutu, these are some of the schools that came Pekerau and Kihikihi, along with a heap of others, they were a very good audience, clapping and cheering. We were all very nervous but we got half the day out of class!! That’s the good part of it. The next shows are tonight, 7:30 till about 9:0o. Tickets are available at Te Awamutu Intermediate school office, $5 for children and $10 for adults. Be quick if you want to come or  they’ll run out!!!  We still got 3 more  shows, tonight tomorrow night and Thursday night. It is so fun getting ready and acting our part out. Hope to see you their if you already got tickets and otherwise get your tickets NOW!!!

Yaay!! Tomorrow is the first TEACHERS ONLY DAY of this year. They should have it more often. I will be able to get a good sleep in, instead of waking up at 6:30 in the morning. I absolutely hate getting up in the mornings to go to school, I would rather stay in my warm bed and snuggle or watch some T.V. Even though I will probably do some work on my Holocaust presentation, I will have a nice day without much work. (MUCH!!!)
